翌日清晨，天空阴霾，下起了淅淅沥沥的小雨，微风拂动，凉意沁人。

圜丘的设施仍有一部分尚未完成，兵部负责警戒、隔绝外人不得靠近，礼部则负责所有设施的完善，两个衙门精锐尽出，不敢有一丝一毫的懈怠。

房俊披着蓑衣，戴着斗笠，骑在马上亲自监督两个衙门的官员，宋国公萧瑀也赶到现场，敦促属下务必尽善尽美。因为圜丘正在明德门之外，紧挨着出城向南的官道，为防止有人破坏、捣乱，所以房俊已经命令右屯卫兵卒在道路中间设下关卡，所有来往人等皆要接受严密之极的盘查。

因为盘查太多严密，所以耗时太久，小雨淅淅沥沥，路上的行人、车马堵得老长一溜，乌龟一般缓缓往前挪动，颇有些后世“早晚高峰”的模样……
