盖大海虽然不属于“三大帮”之一，手底下几百人在盘踞海中洲的海盗之中也算是数得着的势力。当年王大海父亲盖彦曾是“梁王”萧铣手下战将，被任命为江州刺史。可惜当时大唐水军由李孝恭、李靖率领，自夔门顺江而下，萧铣的水军一触即溃，不久江州即陷入重围。

江州刺史盖彦举城投降，却被李孝恭斩杀。盖大海奋力杀出重围，也不敢去江陵，以免被萧铣问责投降之罪，只好召集旧部残兵顺江而逃，出了东海占岛为寇，天不收地不管，倒也自在快活。

盖大海率领麾下海寇占据了一处岛屿，倒也经营的似模似样。论实力，盖大海不算是海中洲群寇当中最强的，但是其年头多，颇有些家底。

多日的阴雨终于放晴，夜幕之上星斗满天。
